Has anyone pre-ordered Portal 2 yet?

From a bricks and mortar store, or off steam?

I pre-ordered off steam, and it is currently pre-loading (downloading the game files - and at a blazing 1.8MB/s I might add... NZ cache I assume?), but won't be able to play it until the 20th of course. *impatiently waits*

Really looking forward to it. Enjoyed the first one immensely.

Yep, pre-ordered on steam, and pre-loading now.

There is a rumor going around they may be being trickie and may release it on the 15th!

Have you seen all the media leadup? It has been genius!

There is the Perfect Valantines day gift http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5I3VnCHWsU

There are the four investment videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qcED35LL8I

There is the Lab Rat Comic: http://www.thinkwithportals.com/comic/

And the ingame demo videos, which are apparently not as hard as they look. http://thinkwithportals.com/media.php

It really does seem like we could be getting this game unlocked tomorrow (i.e. the 15th).
Can't wait!!

There is also some pretty interesting ARG (Alternate Reality Game) advertising/marketing going on.
People getting images emailed to them with hidden clues. Base64 coded clues in Ogg audio files. Portal 2 themed Easter eggs in a few indie games.
All fun stuff!

Here's a Wiki that is updated with all of the latest Portal 2 ARG goings on.

And here's a nice little summary of things from Ars

Buy it on PS3 and you get PC/Mac version as well with Steam for PS3 :)

I did consider that...

I came to the conclusion that the PS3 controllers really do not lend themselves that this type of game.

I've pre-ordered through Steam, got the two pack which worked out at about $51 each vs the $80 DSE are charging.

I'm keen for some co-op action Tongue out

seeing as it is fullpriced game rather than a freebie in the orange box, hopefully it will contain more than 4 hours of gameplay.

(not that I am complaining aboit the original. It was probably the best 4 hours of gaming I have probably ever had)

This link was lurking around on the Portal 2 steam forums.
Seems about right to coincide with a 15th April 9AM US time release!

Yeah, it doesn't look too tidy does it.
Still it works for me.

The upshot being the first google search result. See below screenshot.

Holy frak, Portal 2 has just now, as I type this, started to download an update in steam as well!!
I have already pre-loaded the game files, so maybe this is THE release?!??
56% done... waiting, waiting.

The real Portal 2 countdown.
http://www.aperturescience.com/glados@home/
Apparently this count is sped up when people buy the Potato Sack, or any games from the Potato Sack. And also sped up again when people play the games.
Blatant marketing there, but quite smart actually.

Another (user generated, I think) Portal 2 estimated release countdown timer. Real-time updating.
