Ditto, unfortunately, Games for Windows Live seems to think I'm based in America, and won't let me redeem the code :S

It is actually based on your Windows Live account location...

Yeah, for some reason why Windows Live account now thinks it's in the US even though, I've always said I'm in NZ (or Australia when I moved there).  But apparently the gamertags get locked to a region and are never changeable (at least that's what the CSR I'm talking to now says).

that's true.  when I brought my 360 from the UK I couldn't buy stuff in NZD, only in GBP.  I had to start a whole new gamertag to be registered in NZ.  (not a big deal at the time since I had hardly bought any DLC)

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Another reason why region-locked DRM sucks big time...

In that case I deleted my reply in the other thread, which was:

Create a new Windows Live account & gamertag, with your current country set correct, redeem the key, e-mail the AOE Community team (e-mail address in your original e-mail), tell them what happened, tell them your new and old gamertags, and ask them to switch the eligibility to login to the new gamertag.
