DE:HR is available on steam for $49US ($60NZ), if you are in the states.
If you are in NZ, they charge $62USA and it unlocks 2 days later.

gog.com doesn't have it.
direct2drive.com won't sell to NZ

If you buy online in NZ, it starts at $88 and goes up from there.

Now I am willing to pay for it, but I don't see why I should pay more than the yanks.

Any ideas?

Considering that digitally-distributed copies will be region-locked (copies purchased from Steam and similar distributors), your options are pretty much limited to importing a box copy or buying from a company who imports foreign box copies.

100% agree regional pricing differences are dumb/annoying.

Can you get a friend in the US or UK gift you a copy via Steam and just pay him via paypal/bank transfer?  Not sure if it will still unlock 2 days later.

Thanks.  Seems strange to get a physical copy cheaper than a digital one, but if that is what it takes...
