All games in my origin library (not just BF3) will stuck at "prepare" when I click download.

Then after a few seconds the download will pause. If I click resume download, it will repeat the aforementioned steps.

I am using the latest Origin client. Also tried on a few different computers in my house (including couple of fresh installed virtual machines) with no luck.

BTW I was able to download BF3 beta without any issues a few weeks back.

So does anybody have similar issue? I am with Slingshot.

I am having the exact same issue.  It just bounces back and forth from Prepairing to Paused.  Any new input on this?  I have over 100GB free on the C drive.

Only the download version is available atm right? Went to dick smiths yesterday to get BF3 as I read BF3 can now be downloaded but was told the box version ain't out yet! So I ended up buying Starcraft II.

After extensive investigation, I found this is to do with me using Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4).

Try to use your ISP's DNS, that should solve the problem. Apparently the new version of Origin doesn't play nice with some of the DNS servers.

I should have started installing last night - its running 154kb off the DVD (part 2) install. Reckons 7 hours to install.
Its a brand new fecking DVD and the first install disk ran at 3mb

I hate steam/origin/internetvalidators......

What ever happened to just a game on a disk. Install. Play. grrrr........

One issue installing I came across was I already had Punkbuster installed so it errored out saying cannot install as it's already there which made it roll back the whole installation, I had to uninstall Punkbuster, reboot and then install bf3 again. This was from Dvd install.
