Providing your a big fan of the Call of Duty series would you pay $1,725 for a leaked copy? Well this fan did.

A leaked copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has been sold on eBay for $1,725. Unauthorized copies of the game were mistakenly released into the wild this week, when a retailer placed the game on sale. MW3 is not due to be officially released until November 8th.

Can't say I'd pay anything close to the current retail price for Modern Warfare 3, my flatmate picked it up on release day and has been playing it every possible hour since then, I asked him if they had expanded and improved at all and he said it's just Modern Warfare 2 with a couple of new weapons and new maps. He hasn't touched single player which would be my only interest in the game.
When I walked past his room I thought he was still playing black ops as it looks almost identical.

Poll: When I walked past his room I thought he was still playing black ops as it looks almost identical.

So it looks crap then worse then mw2.

I bought blop but I played it once and it was unplayable due to lag never put it in again.

I will not be buying another fps after halo ce anniversary.

Although I would not pay that much I did pay a stupid amount for mw3, hardened edition.

I was still playing mw2 up til mw3 release so I think I get my money's worth, loving mw3 even if it is very similar to mw2 - they fixed what was broken and added some things to make the game more interesting and balanced.

Especially loving survival mode.

Can't stand black ops, zombies was worth while though.
