Well gents, here is a sneak preview of what Fibre to the home customers get,

This is an actual connection, speeds are limited to this due this being the commercial product offering ,

Note not effected by distance to the exchange, now this is really next generation broadband services don't you think Wink

I'll Take 2 thanks ;) Can I get fries with that bandwidth?

Its nice for net use, but we are going to need to see more than that for IPTV in the future once you start wanting to watch more than 1 stream at a time, unless you are planning to distribute TV passively.

I see some of the documentation shows the alcatel ONT and it appears only an indoor model, is their a outdoor in the offering also.

At this stage we are only using the indoor models, yes i believe there are some outdoor ones but I havn't worked with yet

isn't fibre ment to be 100Mbps? why are you only getting 30Mbps?

Fibre actually runs at around 1GBps per strand..
