So, with my recent troubleshooting and call centre staff telling me I have too many devices connected, etc etc etc it did make me wonder, what is the average connection tally for our everyday geek zone members?

I am sitting at about 38, but can hit 50 with other devices coming out of sleep mode to transmit some data and go back to sleep.

Of the below about 8 are wired connections, the rest are all over 2.4 and 5ghz wifi.

Currently, according to Unifi, I have 43 wired clients and 24 wireless.

The wired count is inflated a little as I have a Proxmox server running with 8-10 LXC containers, which each present themselves as a different client, even though they all live on the same physical host.

11 wired, 29 wireless currently, probably a few devices not at home at the moment. Also not including IoT which is probably double that number.

Currently 12 devices (Unifi devices like switches and access points around the property) and 22 clients.
UDM SE is the router.

I’m the only one here at the moment so clients can be higher normally.

About 32. We don't really use wireless in this house. I am looking at upgrading the network to 10Gb, so I know for a fact that I need 23 ports on the main switch, but we have a handful of devices that are connected via remote switches or wireless.

Not that many. About 20 if I ignore network components. Mobile devices, security systems, a bunch of RasPi units beavering away. A few more RasPi units taking care of simple monitoring/control tasks. A couple of other projects that I'm working on, including one for home defence from wildfires.
