I am considering getting mobile broadband as my main home broadband connection as I cannot get any other forms of broadband.

I was wanting to know if anybody knows of a good 3G router that I can plug a USB modem into or at least put the sim into the router and attach an external antenna to. preferably i would like one that the USB modem plugs into.

I need one that has at least on ethernet port on it to plug my desktop into and it to also be a wifi connection so I can run my 2 laptops from it.

Does anybody know of particularly good models for this that have good wifi signal and are very reliable and efficient.

Also does anybody know if using a 3G router will cause any of the bandwith speed to decrease?

Thanks - all replies appreciated

PriceSpy shows prices starting at about $180, you're also free to use Telecom or Vodafone sticks.

Vodafone have a SIM-only MiFi (the 2352 version).

Both appear to be very good products, and once I get an iPad I will most likely be getting the NetComm version of the Mi-Fi (3G24W) so that I can use it on XT.

Ericsson W-35 does what you want.

The MiFi box does not have an external antennae connection
