Are you using the same PIN in both the laptop and mobile phone? Some older Nokia phones had a different security level requirement and caused problems...

When you pair the phone and the computer it will ask a PIN - enter a 4 digit number of your choice. The other device will then ask for the PIN and you enter the same number.

It also depends on what software you are using on the laptop. If using the Microsoft Bluetooth stack or Widcomm then you have to enter the PIN.

If you are using a BlueSoleil software then you have a option to define the default PIN and this will be always used (only the new device will ask for the PIN, which will remain the same).
