Hi;

I have recently purchased a Nokia e63 and connected to my Windows 7 32-bit laptop via Bluetooth and using the Nokia pc suite.

The problem I am experiencing is that the phone would constantly (every few seconds) ask if I want to accept the connection from the laptop. Whether I click yes or no it would repeatedly prompt me to accept the message.

I also have a Bluetooth mouse (Genius Navigator 905BT) which is also giving problems. It would stop working for about 20 seconds at any stage whether the phone is connected or not.

I have switched off the Bluetooth on the phone as it is virtually unusable when connected to the laptop.

It seems it’s a laptop issue. I have reinstalled the Nokia pc suite and Bluetooth driver but the same issue persists.

Any ideas?

It sounds to me like a problem on the phone, not on the laptop. When you pair the devices you have an option to make those pairing "trusted" and the phone should have an option to always accept connections from trusted sources.

Check the phone configuration.

The connection to the phone's sorted. You're a legend. I always thought that a paired device, is a trusted device......obviously not.

Any ideas regarding the BT mouse?

Check for interference. also if you are using a Bluetooth USB dongle move it to an adapter where it can "see" the mouse in a direct line of sight.

Remember, your hand is covering the mouse, so there you already have a huge dro in reliability.

The laptop has built-in bluetooth, no dongle.
I seem to think it's more a case that it freezes as opposed to lose connection. I'l keep a check.
Thanks anyway.
