halatau: are you saying Tdgeek that if I cant see the static IP address under status>WAN>network>settings>TNZ_VDSL>IP address then it hasn't been assigned? because at the moment it is my public address and that isn't the same as my old static IP address
Not being at work I cannot tell, I am not familiar with that modem, but the public IP in the modem should be the one Spark gave you, dynamic, or static. but PM me your old phone number, the new phone number and I will find out the Static IP status.
The potential confusions here are:
1. Does the Xbox need an ISP Static IP, e.g. 219.89.xxx.xxx (or other ranges we use) or a local static IP e.g. 192.168.1. xxx
2. Were you assigned a Static IP by Spark, or do you assume you have one as the IP never changed? Most ISP's dynamics are/were sticky, and we, like others are migrating to true dynamics, which will change on a modem restart. That process is underway as we speak and should be completed in days.
Other Xbox literate users here, can anyone answer the point 1? I don't want to change/fix the OP's static issue if that is not required or it makes unintended changes, i.e. lets keep on the same page
Cheers
