Well you seem to be going out of your way to offend and annoy the most knowledgeable and helpful members on GZ. I suspect you won't last long here. Post reported.

why dont you go be a "visionary" then? you dont seem to need others opinions as you have already made up your mind on what you are doing

but dont come back and complain about how low/fault riddled your network is?

i wish you the best of luck, you may prove people wrong, but then again you may not either

Really? That is how you thank people giving you real advice? Just because they disagree with your vision doesn't mean you can be rude.

Also if you are looking for "yes men" then this is the wrong place. People here will give you the truth, like it or not.

but you seem to have all the answers?

why do you need the opinion/answers of others?

Can someone just tell the OP how and then I close the thread? We can then wait for a new topic on why it is not performing as intended.

am i going to get banned like on gpforums for advancing unpopular opinions?

the wrt54g is pretty dated and with a bunch of them you can toss together something that works.

maybe i have some answers, i don't have all of them.

mesh wifi and multiseat computing seem to be astonishingly unpopular despite their huge potential.

It is not your opinion. It is your attitude. Being disrespectful and to a mod no less. I expect only one thing and if it doesn't happen soon then this thread is gone.

Go ahead and build your mesh network. It's your blood, sweat and tears (and cash). But please don't come back with another thread, if/when the thing runs like a lemon.

OK, well If the OP uses the D-Link DAP-2695 I mentioned earlier in WPS mode they will do what the OP asked for. The OP can use the 5gig for the Mesh and the 2.4gig as the AP component and I predict this will work perfectly adequately for general use.If what the OP asked for is good or bad practice is not really what was asked. Another suggestion is of course the Mikrotik wireless range.DAP-2695

The fact that you've been banned already on another NZ forum possibly suggests that your attitude is at fault here.
