mounting up high makes a great difference to range, and does help with line of sight if its on a roof or something.

Unfortunately there are 2 key issues to using a single ap.

1) 5Ghz has shorter range

2) 2.4 Ghz is so noisy i can see about 10+ networks on analyser.
