It wouldn't in repeater mode for obvious reasons.

Chromecast doesn't connect to WPA-Enterprise anyway so you have to use the WISP Client Router mode which also doesn't appear to work.

ok, maybe il go try get a newer model. hopefully they will allow a swap after opening..

Sorry I meant options under the Key type field but as above it does seem WPA2 Enterprise is not an option.

Prior to purchasing the newer model it would be wise to make contact with TP-Link through their website to confirm.

I gave them a call, went to china i think.

she told me that none of the products under the tp-link home or commercial can pickup a WPA2-enterprise security but can use it to secure its modem.

if anyone knows a model that can do it can you let me know please :D

I might just have to setup another laptop and stick to connectify, from what I have read online there doesnt seem to be any option with wpa enterprise :(

Im wondering if there is a way to pickup standard uni wifi from laptop, use that as a router to connect the lan cable to tp-link and create a network in standard access point mode

ad-hoc mode?however my understanding is that adhoc is for wireless only?)

Sorry that hasn't worked out, I've found mine very useful but I think the networks I've been connecting to have no encyption, or consumer-grade encryption. Don't know what to suggest for enterprise WPA, sorry

Likewise, I'm very sorry that it hasn't worked out for you - I use mine nearly every time I stay away from home.

Come to think of it though, most of my usage is to open captive portals.

It would also appear that I owe you lunch!

haha no worries, thanks for the help in the first place. I ended up using the lan cable from my laptop (uni wifi being a share connection) and used the mr3020 as an access point to make my own network. (i guess any access point would do this job to get around wpa enterprise)

its working well so far, have had one drop in the last hour but thats no biggie. speed test shows approx 10-15mbps range

This sounds similar to a problem a friend of mine is having with her work wifi.

They have free public wifi downstairs but you have to go through a portal (which then texts you a confirmation number). Once you've connected, you're connected for good every day.

Unfortunately she works on the first floor and the signal isn't strong enough to reach her there so she's wondering if there's a booster or something that she can use. There's no WPS and being a corporate wifi setting they won't change the system just for her.

The TP Link looks like it may do the job?
