I made those changes to MTU and deleted mss-clamp (mss-clamp6 wasn't set) last night and was surprised when IPv6 was still up the following morning. It didn't last forever unfortunately, IPv6 has stopped working for me after about 16 hours.

I submitted the issue to 2degrees on Wednesday, will see what they say when they get back to me.

Cheers,

Andrew

Bugger, worth a try, but as 2degrees support 1500 MTU pppoe you should keep it that way 👍🏻

I'm not having any IPv6 issues - the only thing that differs from your configuration and my own is the following:

ipv6 {
dup-addr-detect-transmits 1
enable {
}
}

Else, not sure what is causing this. Perhaps try enabling debug logging on the Edgerouter and looking at the logs when IPv6 fails for any clues.

I think I'm seeing the same issue now too.

After rebooting the EdgeRouter last night I lost ipv6 after a while, then this morning I didn't seem to have ipv6 either

Anyone else still having problems?

Yup, still dropping out after a few hours for me. I've scoured the logs but haven't seen anything that looks like it's related (though I'll be the first to admit I'm not sure what I'm looking for!). I still haven't heard anything from 2degrees regarding the ticket I opened with them on the 7th.

Cheers,

Andrew

If it happens again I'll run a packet capture, but I'm pretty sure all I'll see is ipv6 packets going out and never coming back.

I'd have thought you'd hear back by now, pretty poor

I'll see what I get when I'm home.  I was getting the IPv6 logo on Geekzone yesterday, but at work today and didn't look this morning.  I'm running a USG on the latest dev firmware but as its using EdgeOS any issues with the edge router will likely be represented with the USG.

The ipv6 logo was missing on GZ for me, but I should've checked other things before assuming it was a problem.

I'll continue to monitor for now

I always check ipv6.google.com It will only load over IPV6, so if it refuses to load at all, I know it's dropped completely. It's a bit more reliable for me than using ipv6 tests due to fallover.

Yeah, I normally check with http://ipv6-test.com/

The reason I'm not 100% sure I'm having the same issue is I can't remember whether or not I was connected to a VPN before going to sleep last night so Chrome might still have had Geekzone's ipv4 DNS cached

My IPv6 dropped out today - I'm actually suspecting it is a firmware bug with the Edgerouter so will monitor it further.

But also remember, 2degrees supports the Fritz and while they allow third party routers / devices it doesn't mean they support them. Don't expect them to look into this issue but if I find anything, or if my router drops again I'll hopefully have the logs this time around to check what is causing it.

Mine dropped out tonight, I'm not running an Edgerouter.

I tried pinging 2404:6800:4006:808::200e and several other addresses, I can see my packets egressing the firewall X0 is LAN, X1:V10 is the PPPoE connection). The ICMP packets are leaving but nothing is coming back.

I have restarted the v6 PPPoE a couple of times, tried renewing the lease (and it does get a lease but strangle the expiry time doesn't change). I can see the upstream Juniper route in the ND table. One thing I have not done is restarted the box, I'll do that later tonight.

This may indicate it is not an Edgerouter issue.

While true, this has all started since they upgraded their BNG's though
