The 2Degrees routers use TR-069, so fetches the details automatically once they're plugged in.

Anything I say is the ramblings of an ill informed, opinionated so-and-so, and not representative of any of my past, present or future employers, and is also probably best disregarded.

turtlepower: This is strange.

I managed to source another brand new 2degrees router and after plugging it all in, it all appears to work fine now.

The strange part is that the router doesn’t require me to enter my Snap details and the login is something else completely unrelated.

Internet works fine though.

They are initially configured with a placeholder username and password. Which then tells 2degrees which username/ password to send to the router using TR069 as already mentioned.

Check that it has actually connected using your 2degrees account. As the Fritzbox serial numbers are linked to your account. I gave my 2degrees Fritzbox to my parents when they signed up to 2degrees (still Snap Internet at the time). They then told me that the phone line wasn't working. Reason the phone wasn't working, was the parents were using my 2degrees account, and I didnt have a landline phone service on my account.

Solution was to phone tech support, and tell them to reassociate that Fritzbox to the parents account. Reset the Fritzbox to factory settings, then it picked up the correct details.
