OK check the edge router, in services dhcp server, set the dns1 and dns2 to 122.56.237.1and 210.55.111.1

The disconnect the pc lan and reconnect again to get a new dhcp lease.

Also before making the above change note what dns1 a s 2 are and report back

I did that. Tried a few websites in Chrome and they are loading fine, no delays.

OK, so leave it like that. It would seem that possibly the dnsmasque routine in the Edge Router has lost the plot, purhaps taking its prolitariate holiday. Anyway, you dont have to use it, to directly connect to the Spark DNS servers rather than using the cache in the edgerouter is not a biggie, some would say its an advantage, dont forget the IP stack in your PC, phone, tablet caches as well.

As for whats really wrong with the Edge router, not too sure, I have never used them.

Thanks for that. I replaced the DNS servers you supplied with the ones from DNS4me, and it still works. Just doing some testing to make sure that everything is working.

Windows always used to ping a certain site (still does I think) to 'check' the internet connection.
If that site doesn't respond then windows reports a 'no internet connection' message, even though the internet might be fine.
I can't recall the site, but maybe somehow you just can't access it.

If you have no DNS then Windows cannot reach the probe site it uses, which needs DNS to find.
