I wouldn't install a TP-Link at home but because I'm a nerd and most computers are wired, and also have a Ubiquiti Unifi network with a couple of access points.

But I've installed the TP-Link Deco M4 at parent's and brother's houses where they consistently had internet and wifi issues. They're now all stoked and their networks are reliable. For your use, it sounds like the M5 should be more than enough, the difference between good and bad coverage is much bigger than a few more mbps allowance.

robertosc: I don’t know how to run cables throughout the house.

Do the cables need to run inside the house? Can you run a pre made cable under or around the house using an existing hole or window?

We are using 2 Fritzboxes in a Mesh and they are connected with a 40m Cat5e pre made cable. This cable goes from the master downstairs out the window, around the house and back in through an upstairs window to the 2 fritzbox. This cable has been outside for over 3 years without any issue. Cheap and relatively easy to replace when the cable finally fails.

I have been running 4 tp link X20's since March. Lots of people selling new Vodafone ones on trade me cheap. Can't fault them have been rock solid on wifi6 maybe not so flash on wifi5 (1 had to be reset a few times) mine are running straight from the ont to the 1st unit then a cable to a 8 port hub and then cabled around the house, we have a mix of devices and am very happy with the performance compared to my older nighthawk setup. Currently running 2 x cell 2 x tablets 1 x pc 1 x laptop 1 x pc/dlna server 4 x smart tvs and a home security setup. Only need to use 3 of the units but I bought 2 x 2packs off trademe so might as well use them all. Am on a 300/100 plan and get this without any issues
