The only benefit on 802.3at is future proofing - lots of newer AP's suck a lot more power and need 802.3at switches hence the reason vendors are moving to include 802.3at as standard.

 

With your current hardware there are zero benefits.

Perfect. It’s just for a small household, so I assume the 802.3at isn’t necessary for our usage.
I’ve read a bit about it and it mentions certain VoIP phone models, which isn’t required for us.


For your current requirements you'd get no benefit from 802.3at. As @sbiddle said, it would just be future proofing you better.
