My broad band into the router (from the ONT) goes into my Huawei router which is my wifi broadcaster, then there is another ethernet cable from one of the router ports feeding a Luxal router that feed a Luxal AP that was in the house when we moved in. Trouble is when I remove the cable between the two routers I loose internet...... The Huawei is my ISP provided one so should do the main connection.
Checked and the Luxal wifi isn't connected so I thought this would only be working as a router. As I have a different AP feed from the Huawei I should be able to disconnect the Luxul, but no, I loose internet.
hard to tell why disconnecting the cable between the Huawei router and the Luxul router brings your internet connection down without knowing how they're configured. if you could dump their configs here, or screenshots of the config pages, it would help others help you.
basically, you don't need 2 routers so would probably do well to get the Luxul router out of the equation, and potentially still use the Luxul AP - or even use the Luxul router as another AP, if possible (not familiar with Luxul, but i've heard of their use in the AV world.
as has been suggested:
[ONT] - [Router (Huawei, with wifi for garage)] --- [AP (Luxul)]
or even (perhaps depending on the size of your property):
[ONT] - [Router (Huawei, with wifi for garage)] --- [AP1 (Luxul router)] --- [AP2 (Luxul AP)]
