I still have the speed problem when recording in sound recorder but the noice that made VoIp conversations impossible disappeared in the system restore. That would mean that the recording speed problem and the noice problem is not nessessarily connected.

A little bit different, I have a Jabra BT200, Windows XP and a Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse with Microsoft Bluetooth USB adapter.

In my XP Control Panel's "Wireless Link" panel, I have paired with ther JABRA BT200 fine, however, it will not remain connected (always says "last seen") and there are no services related to the device.

Of course I get no audio or anything at all?

Am I just a bone head or what's up, I thought Bluetooth was supposed to "just work"....

Looking for some help....

DavidRSullivan, it's supposed to work - if the implementation is complete. Microsoft decided to implement only the minimum needed to connect the keyboard, mouse and a mobile phone for dial up. Nothing else.

Don't blame Bluetooth on this one - blame Microsoft.

Hi

I have exactly the same problem with too fast recording speed which of cause messes up VOIP sound too.

Jabra BT200 and D-link bluetooth USB dongle. I am running drivers v1.4.1.

I am very interested in hearing if anyone got this to work and how (settings, drivers, hardware).

Especially I am interested in hearing from "Slimmey" - did you get it working? How how :)

Please post folks :-)

As my previous post said i got it working by doing a system restore to a previous date where I had it working before i broke it. I have since done a few dives into the registry to see if I could find any settings not available in the normal controls and compare those to my old system. However, I have not found any registry editor able to load up external registry files so I have not gotten anywhere with that yet. If anyone knows of a registry editor capable of this, please let me know.
Hardware is Jabra BT200 and Belkin FT003 usb. And driver is dell 1.4.1.4

Slimmey,

and you are running WinXP?

But you had it working at one time. How did you get it to work in the first place? How did you "brake it"?

PS, using same driver

Yes, I run xp now. To get it working i simply installed the dell widcomm software followed by a driver from cd for my Belkin usb ft003. Since i installed lots of things during those days I do not know what "broke" it but I am suspecting it could be a codec pack i installed. Removing all codec packs did not change anything.

This is truly a mystery :-)

Hope someone can help solve it.

At least we know it can work - Jabra Bt200 with a CSR-type USB dongle and WinXP.

I just tested my SE HBH-35 with D-Link 1.4.1.6 and Win XP Pro. Used Windows Media Player, QuickTime, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, Logitech WebCam for recording and playback. No problems. Speed ok and audio good.

Audio Wizards in MSN, Yahoo, Logitech all returned good results. Even added a little "bluetooth" stress by sync'ing with my 3650 at the same time. I'm guessing a lot of the problems are caused by installs and re-installs in attempts to use other vendors' Widcomm drivers?? Probably, screwed up the registry and some components are now not installing properly.

Last night my movie-buff cousin was here and we downloaded Duality and Fanimatrix. While I was here by myself I tested my Jabra BT200 and Ericsson HBH-20 with Fanimatrix (Divx) and Duality (Quicktime) and had no problems.

Running Windows 2000 SP4 and TDK 1.4.1

Its great to hear that it works for some people. The question is now how to get it to work for all :)

Chrismax - and you are running WinXP?

Maybe somebody can help me with this:
Control Panel > Sound > Hardware > Codecs for sound devices > Properties > Properties
there is a list with codecs and sound compression codecs. If for instance you click Properties on "msgsm32.acm" which is "Priority 4" on my system, you can go to "Settings" and Compression e.g. "44100 Hz mono" and decompression. The one on the top "Priority 1" on my system is "imaadp32.acm"

Might this be hint to a solution to the audio speed problem?

i found this somewhere else!!

Yep, you must record at the following settings otherwise when you playback your voice will be of a higher pitch and you will be speaking a little faster then normal. Try recording at the following settings....

Channels = 1
SamplesPerSec = 8000
FormatTag = WAVE_FORMAT_PCM
BitsPerSample = 16
AvgBytesPerSec = 16000
