I have a HBH-60 and a TDK dongle running on XP.
When I record audio it sound about 50% faster.
Any ideas what causes this problem and how to fix it?

Thanks

What program are you using to record?

It could be the HBH-60, but I've just tested recording with a HBH-20 and my TDK dongle - worked perfectly.

Anyone else?

I have the same problem!

I have the jabra freespeak headset (bt200)

i have tried different recording programs including wavelab and cubase! its all the same!
i was wanting to use this for VoIP (actually voice P2P, www.skype.com! it is way cool!!)

anyways...when i talk to people online the speaker (earplug works fine) but the mic does not! only really bad noise and cracking sounds!

in the control pannel sound setup i have a another catergorie (voice) where i can test the hardware, but the test fails it doesnt get anything from the mic!

In msn the video/sound wizard the bar for the mic input just goes crazy and is all the way in the red! i canot adjust the volume on it!

any ideas are greatly apretiated on this!!!!!

ps:also i have another problem!
when i pair it with my phone (sony-ericsson p800) it pairs ok but the sound still stays on the phone(the phone does not go to handsfree mode!!! i cant try to actually call someone to see if that makes a differense, cuz im in iowa t the moment and i dont get t-mobile receiption here! ill be in chicago for the weekend to see if that will work!)

I've received a P800 from Vodafone (yes!) this week and I also have a Jabra (but I use the old HBH-20 with this phone). I will test the combination later tonight and post results.

thanks alot, im exited to see what it will do for you!

i kinda wanted the phone to switch to handsfree mode (like when i put the earphones in it!)
so i can accept calls on the jabra and listen to mp3s or watch my movies (i love my 128mb duo!!!!! :-) )

and ine more thing!

have you used your jabra with your pc?

do you have the audio speed problems? there must be a way to solve it!

i have a bad feeling hat it might be an encoding problem! the headset send the data digitaly to the computer and when its decoded its double speed! (it has a certain delay too!)

im using 1.3 drivers for my bluetooth (sitecom usb stick)

OK i called jabra support

they say whatever i pair the headset with needs to be version 1.1

as far as i know the widcomm 1.1 doesnt support headset profiles though des it?
is there a way i can get the headset profile into the widcomm 1.1??

with newer versions the microphone on the headset will do the fast recording thing....

is there no way i can do this! i have read of people that use theyr jabra with their laptop...do these people just not use the mic or what??

i am getting pissed i spent so much money on this thing!

There are two things... Jabra is probably not talking about the driver version 1.1 but the Bluetooth specification version 1.1

You're correct, to support the headset profiles (without any hack) you need at least windcomm drivers 1.3.

AFAIK most Bluetooth devices are 1.1 spec. Jabra support is just being silly.

I'm charging my Jabra here to test it.

Ok, just tested this. I'm jusing a Jabra BT200, with a Windows 2000 SP4 and TDK Bluetooth USB adapter.

I can record and playback sound, playback from QuickTime and Windows Media Player, all without any changes in speed.

Perhaps you have a different codec associated with your recording?

I now have the exact same problem (recordings too fast, only noice when using VoIp). I have been using my jabra without problems under windows 2000 for about a month and just recently upgraded to xp. Installing the dell driver under xp and it worked fine for about a day until i installed something that messed it up. Now i dont know how to get it working again. Any ideas are most welcome..

Did you install the Dell drivers because of some special feature you needed? If there's nothing new in this driver for you, try installing the original drivers...

Yes, i needed the headset profile wich wasnt available in the original drivers. I got it running now however. Did a system restore to the date before it got messed up and spent a few hours reinstalling software instead.
