ETP? Is that the entry point/box on the outside?

If so that would at the corner of the garage to the far right/bottom.
Chorus also commented that is unusable because they cannot push/draw a cable through from the original phone/cable box out at the corner of the property. So are using the access/pit out on the berm, well they were. They are coming back to attempt to draw the new fibre another day.

Solution 1A Powerline)

Have the ONT installed on the external wall closest to the ETP.
Connect the data cable into a powerline kit such as a TP-Link TL-PA4010kit

The other unit plugs into a wall outlet and the lan cable goes to the WAN port of your router.

Note all devices must flow through the router - you cant connect devices directly to the ONT unless the data flows through the router first.

Solution 1B Powerline)

Have the ONT installed on the external wall closest to the ETP.
Place the router next to the ONT.
Use a TPLink powerlin kit such as the WPA-4220kit to extend the wifi using the powerlines. You will possibly have improved wifi coverage as devices will connect to the closest wifi access point (the main router next to the ont, or the secondary powerline unit)

Solution 2) Ethernet cabling

If you have the skills, you could use the cables pictured to transport 100mbit ethernet data between the ONT and a more convenient location in the house to place the router. Or do the same thing as soluiton 1B but use an access point with the 100mbit ethernet backhaul between the two points.

Solution 3) VDSL Ethernet Extenders

Again with the ONT placed close to the ETP, This is a bit more expensive and better for longer distances but is an option - you can extend 100mbit ethernet over a single telephone line pair using the telephone cabling in the wall.
The photos show your cable supports ethernet at least 100mbit so not worth spending that money.

Solution 4) Recommended Solution
Wait for the installer to come, and see what they say. They will have installed into hundreds of houses before and may know some tricks to getting the cable to where its needed, but may be limited to what they can do as part of a free installation.

was just enquiring as I was once told you don’t have to run fibre all the way to the inside of your house. I could terminate via some sort of junction and then run existing wire to the router. But obviously that was all hogwash.

The wire is all 10 years old, same as house.

Fibre absolutely needs to enter the house as the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) must be inside and have a power source.

The ONT converts fibre to Ethernet and is the endpoint of Chorus responsibility. Once it’s into your premises from the ONT then the network from there on is your responsibility not Chorus.

If we had the money, I would bypass Chorus altogether (believe me).

You can’t bypass Chorus. They own the network. You can do some work to get a solution you want but they have to be involved
