Yep, it's getting it from device Dell_3d:8f:e3 (that's listed as the source) and the destination is broadcast. The plain English translation is over the right hand side - it's the Dell with IP 192.168.0.10 asking for the device with 192.168.0.254 to respond. There's no answer or you would see shortly after a response in the other direction.

This would also show up if you were trying to ping or connect to the web interface of 192.168.0.254.

The CPE710 stopped broadcasting the Wi-Fi SSID 'shed' so we stopped being able to play Netflix in the shed.

Its 12 mths old, in a relatively moderate climate, no obvious damage etc, 'looks okay' and appears to, well, shouldn't really say 'appears to be working OK' lol

RunningMan:

I think the problem is simply the Pharos is not at factory defaults. What was the original reason for starting all this? Did it stop working? Wondering if it's actually died and won't reset properly. Could be a faulty POE injector too.

Not sure what (if any) IP address the DELL K20A TB4 Dock is using but the MBP13 (my MacBook) is #10 on 192.168.0.10

What tells the sniffer to 'ask 192.168.0.254 to respond''? We haven't in that above case, we've just le the sniffer work solo.

Someone suggested that the firmware on the CPE710 might not like the latest browsers i.e. Firefox 1.29 and that Firefox 71.0 was 'the go' to achieving the correct handshakes and signings etc so deleted the current FF browser, DL'd and tested with 71.0 however it is also a 'no go'.

Uncommon, but this is where it's pointing. Could be the PoE injector, could be the cable going up to the roof. But hardware would be consistent with a sudden stoppage.

Update: We procured second CPE710 and set up a proper link, now everything works perfect. Probably these devices are best in pairs it seems. Thanks everyone for the help and assistance, it sure is super nice knowing there are genuine-geeks ready and willing to offer quality guidance to learner-geeks!

These things are impressive, why dig a 50 metre trench ! Couple of quickies if anyone can assist.

Should we have the Access Point & Client CPE710 dishes set to Static or Dynamic IP's, what do you reckon?

(We have just set them both from Static to Dynamic, the StarLink's giving them addresses, works fine, but now only the Access Point Pharos interface can be accessed now which 'isn't so fun').

And would we be better of setting a channel on each device, right now the Access Point is on Auto and it's selecting 161 / 5805MHz.
