It's because you're paying for a 1000/500 product from your ISP. If you want to pay more you can buy a faster connection.

Completely understand this is exactly what I'm paying for. Was wondering if it's more of a technical limitation with the ZN fiber design.

And yes Chorus is LFC

Nope, as mentioned if you pay more you get more. For example you get 1000/1000 for $499+GST/month from MyRepublic.

I'v got Vodafone UFB with landline, by using the HG659 router provided by VDF I can connect the phone to the phone port on HG659, how can I set up the phone on ERL, so that I can connect the cordless phone to ERL?

Hmm Vodafone UFB is pretty suboptimal since they force the use of their router. It may work behind the Edgerouter (you'll need to turn off VLAN 10 and set the Vodafone router to fetch via DHCP) however I am not 100% sure. Easiest option is to ditch the landline and go naked? Skinny Direct is cheap :)

I'v tried with no success. Now I'm going to replace the landline with Vodafone Home Phone Wireless Local.

VDF is not given out the SIP password, Its the same for Spark

could somebody check please - what is the performance penalty if you enable QoS and/or traffic analysing (a thing to let you see what type of traffic is going through)

I have a feeling that enabling those may actually disable hw offloading.

Enabling QoS disables offloading. The new traffic analysis done on the router is done in a way that allows offloading, but if you are using some older traffic analysis such as netflow, enabling that disables offloading.

With offloading disabled, the best you can get seems to be about 300 Mbit/s throughput, but with a real life configuration, expect somewhere between 80 and 180 Mbit/s.

For starters this is off-topic again however you do not at all need QoS on a Gigabit connection. The Edgerouter will do fine. QoS is only useful on slower connections.

I'm trying to expose Plex to the outside world.

I've enabled UPNP2 but it doesn't seem to be letting plex through.

I'm with bigpipe and have a static ip.

I know I'm missing something but......no idea what
