Where did you get your rack from may I ask?

I built mine; both a bit of a project and to fit the dimensions I had available:

It's made from oak plywood. I covered the visible edges with some nice solid oak to keep Mrs MDF happy (this took forever to rip down on my underpowered table saw). Like most of my projects, I made plenty of mistakes. Fortunately they're mostly hidden unless you know where to look for them. I'm actually pretty stoked at how it turned out.

Inside, the bottom shelf has an HP microserver running Unraid, and a Cisco managed switch (both courtesy of Geekzone). Next shelf up has the Vodafone "Fibre"X modem, an EdgeRouter Lite (GZ again!), and an unmanaged POE switch driving the WAPs. That shelf is also home (for now) to a Raspberry Pi and Udoo x64 (assorted projects, not properly deployed at the moment). Top shelf has one of the WAPs that is waiting for a ceiling to be replaced before it gets ceiling mounted properly and the cordless phone base. Cabling is slowly being deployed around the house, still 12 ports on the patch panel free!

I have to say, suprised at how much neater it looks with an investment in patch cables (a) the same colour and (b) approximately the right length.

Drawers underneath are really deep and take a tonne of my computer stuff nice and neatly. I had plenty of height to work with, but not much width. I am also pleased at how well it makes use of the space.

@davidcole - I'd be keen to know more about how your fans + raspberry Pi work. I've got some old PC fans that I'm keen to deploy to replace the current passive cooling system (cough, leaving the door open).

Not mine, but one I put in a few years ago for family-in-law. Needs another cable management rail, and another rack-mount switch... but they're moving next year so I'm not going to bother. Currently on ADSL, but getting fibre next week (so time to replace the RB2011 and original UAPs with something faster).

UPS is unplugged because they'd rather have no Internet or phones than have beeping..

Any recommendations for a vertical mounted UPS to install within a wall enclosure cabinet (like the Dynamix FTTH 28" enclosure HWS-2804V2-KITB)??

Just powering the ONT, Modem, Airport, MacMini server and a couple of external drives

you will likely struggle to find something to power all those and fit in a wall mounted cabinet

i think it does fit but it wont be powering your gear for long, would likely power your ONT and router for 2-4 hours. add your other items and you would be lucky to get an hour.

Thanks Jase, good to know and may just set it to power ONT and Router - or just to get continuity in short blackouts or if power is cycled or tripped.

thanks Jase for tip.  Purchased the ConstantVigil unit and works a treat. 

Vanilla/basic setup at moment as cabling not in place to come back to garage dist board yet.  

Router, switch, airports, Hue, MacMini are downstream and not installed in the faraday cage :)

Are the ONT's Huawei now?
