And please, don't take them flying to your next holiday destination.
Drive. It's safer.

and throw away that granite benchtop please

and put all the kids high up in the house, ventilate with an HRV http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesize/science/add_aqa/atoms_radiation/nuclearradiationrev1.shtml

Bluetooth always had a 100m version since first release.

Ok, good point. I forget the exact details but this gives the flavor.

BT 2016 roadmap

Could be they are adding range to the low power version. Designed for IOT but useful for other low through low power applications like mail.

gzt: The new Bluetooth release might be interesting. They have always focused on low power, now they are increasing range to 100 meters, and max rate to 100mb.

Yes but it is only pulsed in tiny bursts :)

That would depend on a per device setting though. you wouldn't have an ear piece that's designed for 100m or a blue tooth speaker that's designed for 0.5m.

EUREKA - PROOF EMF DOES CAUSE ISSUES IN HUMANS - ALL HUMANS NOT JUST THOSE WHO ARE SENSITIVE!!!!

Sunburn!!!!

Color Wavelength Frequency Photon energy
violet 380–450 nm 668–789 THz 2.75–3.26 eV
blue 450–495 nm 606–668 THz 2.50–2.75 eV
green 495–570 nm 526–606 THz 2.17–2.50 eV
yellow 570–590 nm 508–526 THz 2.10–2.17 eV
orange 590–620 nm 484–508 THz 2.00–2.10 eV
red 620–750 nm 400–484 THz 1.65–2.00 eV

It does beg the question though - high frequency means high transmission rates, albeit with less penetration. will we ever look at trying to use waves in the THz range commercially. We are demanding more data, faster and without laying infrastructure wireless has some excellent potential. Wireless already out does fibre in some tests (10Gbps and upwards) and a 4g connection is better than some fibre we now get commercially.

Mind you light contained in Nylon is not likely to be cancer causing so maybe we should try that out.

On a more serious note - here is an interesting graph of relative EMF exposure
