Can anyone talk me through exactly how to use alwaysVPN to purchase stuff on Audible.com?

I have downloaded the programme, bought some bandwidth but can't seem to get any further as to exactly how it works.  Thought it would talk me through it, but it doesn't, and the tutorial they supply doesn't give enough info for a VPN virgin (as it were!).  And how do I find out what my new email address will be?  Plse forgive my ignorance in advance, but help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

what do you mean by "new email address"?

a vpn is just a secure connection between your computer and another computer, and all the internet traffic is sent/requested by that computer and then passed onto your computer.

As I say, I am unfamiliar with how it works, so an explanation of how to use it would be appreciated.

havent used that vpn my self, but most work like this

1. download their client/app and install
2. put in your username + password for the service
3. choose a server location eg San Diego
4. connect

now all your traffic will be requested/sent out by their server in San Diego and then forwarded back to you through the secure connection. so every website you hit will think you are in san diego and will send everything you request to that location, that server will then forward it onto you.

So what do you use for your email address when buying goods?  Surely my email address with .co.nz will give the game away.  That's what I was getting at in my original question.  Do I need to establish a generic address to be used in conjuction with the VPN, say a gmail.com address??

Should not matter. Register for a gmail.com address if you worried about it.

yeah won't matter, you can use .co.nz, plenty of people would have a .co.nz email and be living abroad.  so i wouldnt worry about this.

or just signup to gmail/live.com etc
