I dont get very good wifi connection because the router itself is in my dads room which is at the back of the house, So I got a new router for myself to set up in my room. Can I set this up and use the same broadband connection or do I have to check this with my ISP?

Now when I set router up in my room everythings connected but cant get internet usually on the modem green light flashes when internet is available but it doesnt show. So for this to work I have to turn off my dads wifi router in order for mine to work. Dont want to have to do this everytime.

can someone help pleaseLaughing

You can have as many routers as you like, but you can only use one Modem. I suspect you have got yourself a modem/router all in one, and this won't work on the same phone line as your existing one.

Have you any way of running a cable from the office to your room? You could cable your father's router to a LAN port on your Router and then they would both have internet.

You're not wanting an additional router, you're simply wanting an additional AP to plug into your existing router/modem. If you want good performance you're going to need to cable this, so may as well just cable the PC.

You can buy repeaters or range extenders as well. You may lose some bandwidth though.
