I hope someone can help with this one.

I have a Belkin Bluetooth adapter, everything has set up properly except "My Bluetooth Place".

I have contacted Belkin, they have not been able to solve the issue.

When I load "My Bluetooth Place" icon, I get the following error " Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly."

Once this error displays, I cannot get into "My Bluetooth Place". This is happening upon installation of the software. I need to get in to adjust the serial connections for activesync.

I am running Windows XP on the host desktop. I do not have Internet Connection Firewall running, its disabled, I have a SMC wireless router running as the firewall.

Please help.

Dave

It sounds like you have an Ad Blocker program or security program set to block ActiveX. Or perhaps the Security settings on your Internet Explorer are set to high (On Internet Explorer open Tools, Internet Options, switch to Security tab).

I am using SP2 on XP. It does have Pop Up Blocker, I disabled, it still does not work.

However, good news, the Belkin folks do not seem to know how to configure their own product, if you right click the Bluetooth Neighbourhood in systems tray, you can configure the serial port for activesync.

Working on my own through trail and error, I was able to get the activesyc done.

Still waiting for answer on ActiveX issue.

Have you checked the Internet Options on Internet Explorer?

Well done! I recommend you have a look in our Bluetooth Guides for more information (including a guide n Activesync too).
