I got an experiment to do however in today's world... every network hub is not a switched hub (a.k.a Switches). Such device will not work with my experiment so am hoping someone may have a 5 ports hub spare for me to use. I'd be willing to pay minimal for it to cover your trouble.

cheers.

A switch will set you back at about $69 at DSE (XH8258). And you can return it.

Sorry, I don't want switch, I need hub for this experiment to work. Namely i needed it to monitor network traffics between two devices.

There are many ways you can accomplish this without the use of a non-switched hub however every method has its pros and cons. I would highly suggest taking a look at the following and identifying the best method for your needs:

Well if information has been provided which answers your question, yet you still ask the question without any request for clarification on the information provided then this leaves three distinct possibilities:

- You didn't bother to read the information.
- You didn't understand the information.
- You both read and understood the information yet continued to ask the question without clarification by oversight or some personal motivation.

As for not presuming things, well presupposition is a fact of life as having perfect information is a logical fallacy according to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principal. If you did not assume things based on the information you had on hand then you would be racked by indesicion to the point of total inaction.

My assumtion in this case was probably the most flattering of options to attribute to yourself.

If you care to provide more information I could adjust my assumtion? Laughing

Quite so Tony.

If people care to read the link I had posted you will find a concise description of the methods avaliable to replicate the operation of a non-switched hub, either in full or partially and the pros and cons of each approach.
