Looking to get a wireless router and PC card

Should I ensure both are the same manufacturer e.g. Linksys, Dlink etc ?

And do the 108Mb versions interoperate at the higher seed or are they proprietary ie can I use a dlink 108Mb card with a Linksys 108Mb router ?

And will my Uniden WDEC2315 cordless phone cause issues ?

Yes, as a rule of thumb, you should. However, sometimes you get OEM gear sold under a different brand name so try it out first. Some of the higher (theoretical) speed protocols are very proprietary, so not guaranteed to work with equipment from different vendords.

If the Uniden phone runs in the same frequency range as your WiFi gear, yes, it'll interfere but you should be able to set your networking equipment to avoid this.
