My workplace gave me a new server today. So I've installed windows server 2008 R2 on it and joined it to my homeserver domain controller.

Doesn't have the best specs but has some nice HDD's.

Just set up all the HDD's

I hope you plan on at least mirroring two of the disks for your system partition. RAID is your friend.... if you use it.

I'm also surprised it doesn't beep at you with the 2nd PSU not plugged in.

It beeps in post and has a light on the error panel. I'm using the cord for the new server. I'll have to purchase another soon.

Yes IT'S loud. Think of a dryer noise without all the rattling of zippers, that's what it sounds like.
