Hi there

I have a small problem with my desktop, ipaq 2210 and bluetooth dongle from Trust

I want to be able to access a shared folder on my desktop from my ipaq 2210 via bluetooth dongle, but somewhere it has gone wrong. Here are my facts :

Windows xp sp2
Wireless router linksys WRT54G ip: 192.168.5.1
Trust usb dongle
Ipaq 2210

I have shared a folder on my desktop, deactivated my firewall and antivirus software

I have followed the guides from this and other sides and made a bridge between bluetooth network and the wireless network, I have also set the local services in the bluetooth software under network access to allow connection through LAN.'

I have set the ipaq 2210 connection, advanced, select networks to My Work Network
Network Card is set to Work

I have made a network sharing on the ipaq 2210 in this way :

Bluethooth manager, new connect, Explorer a bluetooth device, found my desktop computer, in service selection a have chosen network access and fisihed.

When I choose the shotcut icon in bluetooth manager to establish connection through network access I can establish connection OK and when I view the status bar both data is recieved and sent.

Then I open file explorer on ipaq 2210 and try to open the path //"computer name"/"shared folder" and get the answer that I cannot access the network/folder - why?

First you should not change the network config to "Work". Leave it as it was before. Work is only used if you run your own DNS and don't use TLDs.

Second, to map a shared folder on Windows Mobile you need a little "help". Try using Resco Explorer.
