My computer: IBM Thinkpad T40 w/Integrated Bluetooth II radio (WIDCOMM BTW driver version 1.4.3.4) Windows XP Pro SP1

My mouse: Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth

The problem: The mouse connects fine to the bluetooth radio, however if the mouse is idle for more than a few seconds it stops working, and I must go to My Bluetooth places to find it, and reconnect it.

I've tried disabling the on-board Bluetooth radio and installing the Microsoft-supplied USB bluetooth radio (came with the mouse), and that seems to have the same problem.

Everything I've read states that once the mouse is connected it should remain persistently connected.

Has anyone seen this type of problem?

Thanks.
-Michael

I have a new Dell Latitude D600 with builtin Bluetooth. I just got a new MS Wireless Intellimouse Explorer for Bluetooth and having the same problem. The mouse keeps loosing its pairing with the laptop and have to go back and rediscover it.

Thanks

Claude
