Hi All
My imate jam is not long for this world.  It's latest quirk is it will only output to a bluetooth headset and not to it's own speaker and mic.  So anyway long stroy short, I've just got a new BT800 and paird it.  It appears to work well except that the caller id function on the headset (which is why I chose this model) appears to only show the callers number occassionally (in limited trials to date).  Questions:
1. Does anyone know how to get this feature working more reliably?
2. Is it an issue with the imate sending the info rather than the BT 800 receiving?  and if so
3. Does anyone know if it will be more reliable with either the Apache or the Jasjar?

Cheers.
Mike

Have you done any "change" to allow Bluetooth audio for media player, etc? This problem you are reporting is usually associated with some of these hacks, which can cause all sorts of problem.

In most cases a hard reset should fix this though.

As for the headset and caller ID, it should work all the time, but since you are reporting other problems it could be related.

nope, haven't done any other such fiddling.  It's been a progressive problem - hard resets and fiddling around wth settings used to be able to get it back to on board audio but then that went awol eventually.  But your reply gives me hope that when I get my new phone it will solve the issue, so cheers for that.
