So these drives are the cheapest for a 2TB drive.. and was wondering if it is okay (are there any known problems etc..) to put two of these into a Synology D212J NAS? And which one of the two I should get?

Drive 1 (Planning to get this one as they are actually in-stock): Link

Drive 2: (Are they basically the same thing? No stock for this one and model numbers are different to drive 1): Link

Hi, use the Red series, they have firmware to better work with DSM.

FWIW I've been running the greens in a DS212J for about 6 months, so far all has been OK.

The Red ones have several unique features in their firmware that is designed in co operation with Synology and Qnap and presumably others that improves performance and life.
