Im just in the progress of getting a telecom UFB 100/50Mbps Connection

I want to get a new Router/firewall my biggest concern is security.

There are obviously a lot of brands and models out there.  Does any one have a good recommendation with security in mind?

I dont want to spend any more the $500

Thanks for your help in advance
Sam

Fritz!box 7390

I am on fibre and this is the best all in one router I have ever owned.

Also has a DECT feature - you can buy them through Snap for $395 from memory

Telecom supply you with a router.

If you're wanting to buy your own you might want to list your requirements. Asking "which router should I buy" is pretty much akin to saying "which car should I buy".

Ever router does this by default - the mere fact you have NAT does this.

What do you see wrong with the router Telecom supply?

It's actually a very good unit.

Without a list of requirements however nobody is going to be able to offer any advice whatsoever. Right now we've established you want a car with 4 wheels but it doesn't need a roof rack.

So far we have

- No requirement for wireless
- VPN capability
