I just can't figure out how to record the fritzbox answering message.  

I go to the answering setup (**600), "4" to "record greetings", "1" for "Record greeting message", then "8" to record the actual message  . I record the message than press "1" to end. 

Then, I enter "1" to "Listen to all greetings/announcements" .   This replays all of the recorded greetings and I think you are supposed to press "2" on the message you want as the greeting.  

So, after pressing "1" it plays the 'default' greeting, then it plays the one I recorded . I press "2" while it is playing my greeting, and it beeps and goes back to the main menu. 

But, then I call my own number, and it always plays the default greeting, not the one I recorded. 

Once I did get it to play my recorded greeting, but, then, for some reason it reset back to the default greeting.   

Has anyone actually had success in setting their own greeting? 

What am i missing. 



There are other issues too -- when I leave a recording, the fritzbox says there are no recordings...I need to figure out that also.
