I can't get these two to pair up. The laptop with the linksys usbbt100 can see the cell phone and vice versa. However, when I enter a pin into each to pair up, both devices return a "can't connect" message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to check the security settings on this Linksys. I don't know what software version it's running, but you should be able to define from a list what kind of connections are allowqed. For instance All, Only Paired, Only Listed, None.

If the current setting is Only Paired, Only Listed or None it may be blocking the pairing attempt.

I have it set to all so that's not the problem. It's not that the 2 devices can't see each other, they just won't pair up. They act like I'm not entering the same code in each, but I am.

anyone else have any ideas?

Have you tried initiating the discovery and pair from the mobile phone too?

Yep. The phone sees the laptop too and then asks for the code, just like the laptop does. But, when I enter the code in both, they fail to connect. I've tried entering the code first in the phone and then first in the laptop and neither works.
