Would that not be stealing, as in bandwidth theft? If so I do not believe your thread is very ethical to say the least.

One could however understand if you wanted a connection manager for your own wifi, but this does not seem to be the case.

There are lots of uses for such a software, including security and intrusion detection. But I haven't seen one for Windows Mobile yet.

I agree. Its a perfectly valid process to want to undertake (i.e. with 'x' tool, how easy is it for other people to break into MY network?), or demonstrating to a client how easy it is for other people to break into theirs (they could be sitting back saying, "no thanks" to your security solution because "we have WEP and MAC filtering").

If this is the case, dswofford, I give you my apologies.

KisMAC is the easiest to use. Best driver support is for PPC G4 iBooks
Windows does not implement monitor mode in NDIS so you're up the brown creek trying to crack WEP/WPA with that OS
There are commerical drivers for XP to do this at wireshark.org but MacOSX is the easiest by far.
Just FYI Netstumbler/Ministumber are not sniffers at all. they flood out probe requests and with a proper sniffer you can see people wusing netstumbler coming down the street ;-)
