I recently purchased an HP 1945 PDA and, with the help of your Activesync/Bluetooth guide and a Linksys bluetooth adapter, am able to sync with my Dell PC (Windows ME) fine using bluetooth. I was following the guide for "Bluetooth Internet Sharing guide for Ipaq Windows Mobile 2003" so that I could surf from my PDA. However, the dialogues on my PC running Windows ME seem to be significantly different from those in the guide, which was based on Windows 2000. For instance, when I open "properties" in "my network places" I get a window titled "network" with 3 tabs: configuration, identification, and access control. I searched around for a while but didn't find anything that looked like it was going to do what I wanted. In the configuration tab there are 3 "TCP/IP" options also.

I looked at the " . . .Connecting to the internet via laptop/desktop modem" but I'm not sure if I can use that since I have DSL and it looks like you have to enter an actual dial-up phone number.

Since I'm new at this I didn't want to try a bunch of things that were only going to screw up my system. If anybody has any tips on doing this with Windows ME, I would appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

The ICS module that is used for Internet Sharing is not installed by default on Windows ME. You have to open the Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and switch to Windows Components. You'll find the Internet Connection Sharing around there.

Mind you Windows 98ME is not very stable when using ICS... One other option is using NAT32.
