Hi

I have a K750i phone on the O2 network which I have paired with my iPAQ 3970.
I have followed the BT guides (Bluetooth Internet Sharing guide for iPaq h3970.) to check my connection setup on the iPAQ.

The annoying thing is that now they're paired, the "Actions" menu in the iPAQ BT Manager shows...nothing!
When I try to refresh and check the listed services, I get the error:
Fatal Application Error
Application Bluetooth Manager.exe
has performed an illegal operation
and will be shut down.
If the problem persists,
 contact the program vendor.

Program: Bluetooth Manager.exe
Exception: 0x80000002
Address: 00a8eedc

This error is quite persistent and I don't know what to do to fix it.
I also don't know why I cannot see any services listed on the iPAQ for the phone even though the phone itself shows the following supported services:
Object push
File transfer

I didn't have this problem with my Sony Ericsson T630. Still don't.

Any useful help, pointers, suggestions, gratefully received.

Thank you

Hello again,

No response to this thread yet? Hmmm.
I guess this means no-one has experienced this issue before with their pocket pc BT stack?

OK. Here's a question for those of you with iPAQ's - what is your current BT Manager version?
It may well be that I need to look for an updated version for my 3970.

Thanks all round.

Are you using the latest ROM for this device? I used to have a h3970, gtreat Pocket PC, but there were quite a few updates - first to Windows Mobile 2003 and then some Bluetooth updates. Check this.

Also, this could be memory problems. If the devices does not have enough memory then the drivers wouldn't load. Try checking available memory, and if possible try performing a hard reset and pairing the devices before installing any other program.

I believe I am but where do I check this? On the hp site?

I have read about people upgrading to WM2003 and suffering all manner of issues with this device hence I haven't bothered going down that route. I checked the BT version on my device and it appears as 1.1. I am unable to find any other versions.

Will do
