Hi all,
I have a Dynalinhk770 that I have had for 2 years. It is a 4 port router WAP. I recently moved rooms, several rooms away from the modem unit and have gone wireless (installed a card in my PC). d-link air plus G dwl g510. (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=308)

The wireless internet connection is constantly dropped. Should I replace the modem with a more current model or would you suggest it might be the fault of the card? If so what modem?

Any ideas?
Cheers!

I think it's neither the modem or the card, but simply being far away from it with walls between both devices. Can you move the access point to the hall, or perhaps just put it up half way on the wall instead of being behind a desk or in the corner?

Also, check that thos dropped connections don't happen when a cordless phone is in use for example. And scan for other access points around, since using the same channel on many access points might cause this. If there are other access points around, change the channel on your modem to prevent interference.
