Hi Export welcome to Geekzone

Name: is your reference. type bittorrent, emule or etc
Protocol: this depends what you are trying to portforward. TCP will be used at least, sometimes you will need TCP & UDP so you might have to create two 'port forwards' one TCP and one UDP if there is no 'Both' option in that drop-down menu. Check your application to see what it needs.
Private & Public Port: type the port number in both of these boxes.
LAN server: is your PC's LAN IP address (ipconfig) and not your modem's WAN/Internet IP address as is seen on whatismyip.org

hope this helps, fire back if you have anymore questions.

Hello and thanks for the wellcome :) Now i did what you said and made two one TCP and one UDP but i dont know if it is forwarded i ran a test from uTorrent to see if my ports are blocked or not and it gave me this:

Checking port 57339 on 125.238.210.121...

Error!
Port 57339 does not appear to be open.

Hmm maybe its my modem. I think its a modem/router, i just read the auction i brought and it says this "Supports Firewall protection, Virtual server mapping, Virtual PC mapping" What is Virtual server mapping??

Virtual server is just another name for port forwarding.
you will need to setup the port forwarding on your ADSL modem-router only, if you plug the modem (d-link?) into the wireless' LAN port and leave it's WAN port empty. how is it setup now?

ok it gets a little tricky now.

have you got the conexant modem plugged into the WAN port on the wireless router?

your port forwarding won't work if the conexant is plugged into the WAN port of the wireless router, but to plug it into the LAN port some reconfiguration may be neccesary. what are the IPs of the conexant and the wireless router?

assuming it's plugged into the WAN port this what you need to do:
* first you will need to change LAN IP on the wireless router to one in the same subnet as the conexant. for example if the conexant is 10.1.1.1 give the wireless router the IP 10.1.1.254 - assuming that IP isn't taken by another PC!

* next you will need to disable the DHCP server in the wireless router, this is because the conexant has a DHCP server built in and we can only have one DHCP server on an Ethernet network.

* finally plug the conexant into an empty LAN port of the wireless router and fingers crossed, the conexant's DHCP will configure your PCs on wireless and LAN and port forwarding will work.

Okk for the wireless ip its 192.168.1.1 and for the conexant its 10.0.0.2. Soo what  need to to is make the wireless ip 10.0.0.256 or somthing like that?

make it 10.0.0.1 the IP you mention is invalid. the highest/last usable address is .254
then you should end up with:
wireless router IP = 10.0.0.1
subnet mask = 255.0.0.0
and
conexant ADSL modem-router IP = 10.0.0.2
subnet mask = 255.0.0.0

don't forget to turn the DHCP Server off the wireless and plug into the LAN port!

if that works, to setup the port forwarding goto the modem's IP http://10.0.0.2

good luck mate, let us know how you get on
