Hello,
So I have this TP-link modem router, which works with the Telecom network. It has wifi on/off switch. Strangely at times when I turn off the wireless using this switch, the wired connection disconnects on the computer it says "no connection". I then have to turn the power off the modem-router and then turn it back off. After about 30 seconds, it starts working again. Is this due to some issues with the settings?
Would appreciate advice on this.

Thanks

One would presume the WiFi switch simply disabled WiFi in the settings which causes a full or partial reboot of the device.

How would I go about fixing that? The device page on the internet has quite a lot of settings you could tweak.

No idea what model you're using so I can't help.

Maybe well be that this is quite simply how the device works.

I'm guessing you haven't done the obvious and rung TP-Link support to ask them?

Sounds like turning wireless off via the button restarts some services on the device.

Only solution may be don't turn wireless off. Why do you need to turn it off anyway?
