Hi friends,

I'm working on a embedded system development project which contains bluetooth for data transmission. I uses Bluemod p25 from stollman  for HID data transmission. Whenever I try to pair the bluetooth device with my PC, which has windows XP pack, it shows the name ,when I complete the installation procedure, I got the error message as " An error occured duing installation, your hardware might not work properly. "

Only after so many times of repetion of device discovery and pairing ,I finally got the device working. What is the cause of this error. Is this the problem due to windows XP? or due to problems in my bluetooth module?.

Please  reply me, whatever you feel, because it is urgent for me as I need to close the project.

thanks in advance,
Arun

When you pair a device with HID Windows will try to install the required drivers for that feature. Are you using Windows XP Service Pack 2 and its own Bluetooth stack or a third party Bluetooth Stack?

If using a third party perhaps the software wasn't completely installed?

Hi
I try with windows XP service pack 2 only. Sometimes, the drivers are installed correctly but this time when I installing , the following messages are coming in the same sequence

" found new hardware: bluetooth peripeheral device"

"found new hardware: bluetooth HID device"

 after 30 sec

"An error has occured during installation, your hardware might not work properly"

I had tried for 20 times, the same thing occurs for me. I use anycom bluetooth dongle. help me

thanks and regards,
Arun

Perhaps the device you are pairing is not using a standard HID service? If this is the case... I suggest you contact the manufacturer directly at http://www.stollmann.de/.

But the device works fine when I got connection. I have connected the same device  previously after so many trials . Once paired, the device works very good. But the initial connection establishment has been a head ache for me. The device is easily found by microsoft enumerator. but when I try to do the next steps, installation problems occurs

Yes, I understand it works fine when connected - but getting connected is a problem. More reason to contact the manufacturer who will probably have a more detailed view of the product...
