I need some help in understanding the article named above on Geeksone.

http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=2670

quoted part of below...

The standard dial-up configuration dialog will show up on your Pocket PC. Here you'll have to enter the configuration supplied by your mobile operator. The number *99# indicates that we want to dial the default CID configured in the phone. This number may vary depending on your operator.

I like to know what I need to do when entering the number, do I enter what you wrote (*99#) or do I enter some thing else?

I followed every step in the article and all is clear until I come to this point, what do I enter for the number?

Please forgive me and I am dump when comes to understanding English.

You can enter *99# and try connecting. This will use the default configuration on your mobile phone. Most of the times this is enough for the connection to work. If your phone is not using a standard configuration, then the other number should be used.

Let me know if it works with this number first.
