What do you do if you lose the password to your router in my case I have a netgear DG834M.

Please help me.

Sorry it is the netgear dg834G has a G at the end rather than an M

Try doing a factory reset. I assume you changed the default user name and password? (admin:password)

Yea.
I know that a factory reset will fix it but am wondering if there is another way anyone else knows of as i dont need to get into it there is no rush.

If you saved a backup of the config file, you can retrieve it from there... I've had to do that in the past.
