I've successfully paired by Jabra BT200 headset with my laptop and can record and playback sound using the Windows Sound Recorder. However, I am unable to use the headset to make or receive phone calls. As soon as I try to dial out it switches back the laptop's speakers and microphone. How do I make it use the Jabra headset?

TIA

What software are you using for the calls?

At the moment all I'm trying to do is simply use Outlook to call a contact, using the modem in the laptop to dial. It works with an ordinary microphone and headset, but not with the Jabra headset set up to do the same thing - they work to record and play other sounds, just not calls.

Have a look at www.skype.com, it is great!

Coincidentally I'd just start using Skype yesterday before reading this. It is great. I call from Dubai to the UK was as good, if not better, than an ordinary landline call.

However, I've gone back to using my old headset with a wire I don't know if Skype will work with the Jabra. But I still can't figure why when I can record and playback via Jabra it always cuts out if I try to use the PC modem to dial a landline.
